Various research projects have been run by individuals and groups of researchers and students using our Experimental Forests. They cover a wide range of topics on ecology, forestry and environmental sciences, such as plant and animal dynamics, ecosystem and environmental sciences, evolutionary ecology, and forest sustainability and management. Intensive field survey, long-term observation and analysis, in-situ experimental manipulation and cross-site comparison are conducted to address various research questions and hypothesis in those projects. The group of faculty members and technical staff in the Forest Research Station have been jointly conducting the long-term monitoring programs, fast-track researches and technical innovation programs that formally endorsed by the committee of Forest Research Station, Field Science Center for Northern Biosphere. Besides, a number of researchers and students not only in our institute, by also in various faculty, graduate schools, universities and research institutes have been visiting the forests and actively conducting their own research in our Experimental Forests.
